Finn Balor returns from shoulder injury at NXT TV tapings

Posted February 25, 2017

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Balor has always been scheduled for WrestleMania 33 but there's no word yet on what his role will be.

The professional wrestler now under WWE's NXT brand turns 37 years old today. The former champion appeared during Wednesday night's WWE NXT television tapings at the University of Central Florida.

The NXT champion Bobby Roode and Andrade "Cien" Almas were beating on Shinsuke Nakamura when the return occurred.

Vardy goal gives Leicester hope in ECL
It won't be an easy task this evening though, as Leicester takes on the winners of the Europa League for three seasons in a row. Sevilla went agonisingly close to doubling their lead in the 50th minute as Vitolo rattled the upright from a tight angle.

Balor clotheslined Almas out of the ring and gave Roode the Slingblade.

Want even more evidence of the fact that Balor is getting close to an in-ring return?

According to, Balor was telling the truth when he told the NXT crowd that he wasn't medically cleared to return to the ring. He was presumably referring to his former title, the WWE Universal Championship, held now by Kevin Owens.

Kraft Heinz Co (NASDAQ:KHC), Aetna Inc (NYSE:AET)
An alternative play: Kass says Kraft Heinz might play it safe and stick to its earlier script of acquiring another food company. The mean PT for this stock is at $39.38 while the max. level suggested by the brokerage firms is $51.00 and min.

Assuming Balor is indeed medically cleared to compete in two weeks, he would likely be returning on the episode of Monday Night Raw airing March 13th. It's not an ideal spot for the first-ever WWE Universal champion, but a realistic possibly if there's nothing for him to do.

While Balor was away, Kevin Owens won the WWE Universal Championship with help from Triple H in a Fatal 4-Way match that involved Rollins, Roman Reigns and Big Cass. But there are no rumors or news yet of possible matches for him at the show.
