Multiple People Injured In Axe Attack At Düsseldorf, Germany Train Station

Two suspects were arrested, said police, who warned that others may have fled the scene.

A man has been arrested after injuring five people with an axe at Duesseldorf's main train station, police say, correcting earlier reports of two people being detained.

A police spokesman said more suspected attackers are believed to be at large.

The National Transportation Safety Board says the freight train was traveling at about 19 miles per hour at time of the collision. The charter bus trip to Mississippi's coast began in Austin, Texas.

Rail traffic was stopped at the station as helicopters scoured overhead and police were deployed in the area of the attack, the Bild daily reported.

"I helped her wound and called her father", she said.
