Browns Contemplating Drafting A Quarterback Over Myles Garrett With No. 1 Pick

Posted April 13, 2017

Cleveland has two picks in the first round of the draft on April 27. The Browns should not even take the entire ten minutes to turn in the card with Garrett's name on it to commissioner Roger Goodell.

But while Garrett was doing his thing, another pass rusher in this year's draft class, UCLA's Takkarist McKinley, wasn't impressed.

Sessions outlines border enforcement plan
Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced several changes to the country's handling of immigration enforcement and border security. And, Vox writer Matthew Yglesias tweeted that Sessions was talking about Latin-American immigrants.

But, guys like Clowney and Fisher haven't lived up to expectations and Goff looked terrible in his limited time on the field last season (although the sample size is too small to label him a bust yet).

Another NFL executive of a team that has a top-10 pick said, "Don't be surprised if Myles Garrett isn't the No. 1 pick". Adam Schefter Tweeted yesterday evening that the Browns, according to one of his sources, have split opinions on who they want to take with the first pick between Garrett and quarterback Mitchell Trubisky. Somebody who, when it's third-and-15 and maybe it's the fourth quarter and we need a stop to get the ball back, they put you in and say you're the guy. But there will be plenty of backlash if they take Garrett with the top pick and Trubisky evolves into a franchise quarterback.

Pope on Palm Sunday decries suffering from war, terrorism
Pope Francis has repeatedly said he doesn't expect to be pope for a long time and didn't rule out resignation as what Pope Benedict XVI, his predecessor, did.

But, this is the Browns we are talking about. But there are major questions about why Trubisky was not able to win the starting job for the Tar Heels under his final year. In recent years they've tried and failed to draft their quarterback of the future in Brady Quinn and most recently Johnny Manziel. When focused in man coverage, his speed and physicality allows him to run with most receivers in space, and he does an excellent job of locating balls and outplaying his man in the air for the break-up.

And that tweet was nearly a month after Garrett suffered a nagging leg injury that hampered him the rest of the season.

USA sends message to NKorea, China with Syria strike
Over the last 48 hours United States military operations in Syria have replaced North Korea as a main priority for Mr Trump. North Korea now has the strength to "wipe out" the United States "in a moment" with an H-bomb, the editorial said.

It'd be a dream for them to trade down and still get the players they target, so don't expect this misinformation to stop until the Browns are no longer on the clock. This is especially true if you want to select a quarterback later in the draft or stick with Cody Kessler.
