Metroid Prime 4 CONFIRMED in Development for the Nintendo Switch

LOS ANGELES-During a livestreamed presentation Tuesday morning, Nintendo announced a "core Pokemon RPG" title, as well as an in-development sequel to the Metroid Prime series, both for Nintendo Switch.

Metroid Prime 4 is in development for Switch, Nintendo announced during its E3 2017 spotlight showcase. Ten years ago, Nintendo released Metroid Prime 3: Corruption for the Wii, and since then, the franchise has gone dark. In other Marvel game news, two new trailers were released today for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, highlighting the many characters showing up for the latest iteration of the hit series. But the game has been completely rethought for the new generation.

On the rear are slim brake lights, turn indicators and reverse lamp, surrounded by protective skin that begins at the C-pillar. Named after a district in Hawaii, the Kona continues Hyundai's tradition of naming a vehicle after a particular region.

Yoshi is coming to Nintendo Switch in 2018. Last year, an excellent fan-made reimagining called AM2R (Another Metroid 2 Remake) was released and promptly cease-and-desisted by Nintendo's eager legal department. Samus Returns is happening, and it might be the Metroid side-scroller we've been asking for.

So far nothing is known about the game.

For the uninitiated, the Metroid trilogy had you in the role of bounty hunter Samus Aran who was tasked with exploring varied, alien landscapes, battling space pirates, and solving puzzles along the way.

After the announcement of the game on Nintendo's Treehouse Live, original Metroid co-director Yoshio Sakamoto and developer MercurySteam's José Luis Márquez revealed more about the upcoming Nintendo 3DS title.
