The Weather Service predicts today will bring Topeka a high temperature near 82 degrees and a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 10 a.m.

Saturday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., partly sunny, high near 74. A stray severe thunderstorm is possible through evening becoming more widespread overnight.

Sunday night, there will be a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a low of 69, according to the weather service.

Small plane crashes on 405 Freeway near John Wayne Airport; 2 hospitalized
IRVINE (CBS) - CBS in Los Angeles is reporting that a plane has crash landed on the Interstate 405 freeway in Irvine. Sejah Qamoum, 17, received two staples on her head and was released from the hospital Tuesday, according to KHOU.
