Hyperloop One Conducts First Full-System Test

Posted July 13, 2017

Hyperloop One says it'll continue to conduct test runs at the company's DevLoop track in Nevada, and the next phase will show the system's pod moving longer distances at faster speeds.

The company, "Hyperloop-One", said the test consisted of the first full-scale Hyperloop in the world.

The first test of the Hyperloop was done in the Nevada desert, and Missouri is one of 35 finalists for the new high-tech transportation system called a Hyperloop.

Stanton, rookies battle for Home Run Derby glory
He's averaged a home run every 10.1 at bats and is third in the majors with a.613 slugging percentage (Judge is first at.697). Sanchez missed 21 games with a right biceps injury , which helps explain why he has the lowest total of all the competitors.

Hyperloop One - the Los Angeles-based team that picked up and ran with Musk's idea in 2014 - just released video of its first full-scale test run.

Shortly after midnight May 12, Hyperloop guided a wheel-mounted sled 315 feet through a vacuum tube, reaching "nearly 2Gs of acceleration" and a top speed of 70 miles per hour as it traveled down a guideway for 5.3 seconds, the company said. It did an open-air test in 2016 and then built the 11-ft diameter vacuum tube for tests in the spring of 2017.

Hyperloop One also circulated a number of pictures today of a new prototype pod that uses a "proprietary linear electric motor" and "achieves autonomous high-speed propulsion and levitation in a controlled low-pressure environment". Made of structural aluminum and a lightweight carbon fiber, the shell measures 28 feet long.

Blac Chyna wins temporary restraining order against Rob Kardashian
INSIDER has contacted Chyna's attorneys Lisa Bloom and Walter Mosley for further comment. Chyna addressed the reason why she sent her ex a video of herself with another man.

And while that's not the lighting-fast speed that Hyperloop Ones says it's futurist transport system could go, the company says this test-conducted privately on May 12-is only Phase 1. Hyperloop's first trial was successful in demonstrating that the same effect could be achieved using vacuum tubes. Its created to carry both cargo and human passengers, Hyperloop One says. And, of course, convincing skeptical transportation planners that this is a better solution than tried-and-true high-speed rail.

Hyperloop One seems to have generated the most hype so far though.

"Our team is the only team that is actually making Hyperloop happen, and we've spent more time testing a Hyperloop system than anyone in the world", said Josh Giegel, co-founder and President of Engineering of Hyperloop One. While it is investigating 11 possible USA routes, it's likely that the first commercial Hyperloop will be built outside the US, in a country without much existing transportation infrastructure.

Nets, Lakers among top teams who could sign Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
The decision to renounce his rights frees up some money for Detroit, with Caldwell-Pope's qualifying offer being worth $4,958,374. The Knicks will presumably sign Tim Hardaway Jr.as the Hawks are not expected to match the offer sheet.
