Democrats Brace for Clinton's Campaign Book: 'There Is a Collective Groan'

Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), her Democratic rival, caused "lasting damage" during the primary that led to President Donald Trump's "crooked Hillary" campaign against her.

According to extracts from her soon-to-be-published book,"What Happened", which have been posted online by a group of Clinton supporters, Hillary Clinton has accused Sanders of paving the way for Donald Trump's "Crooked Hillary" campaign.

When Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) was asked about Clinton's book, she said, "Beg your pardon?"

Hillary Clinton's promoters painted her as a woman of the people when they last month told Chicago Inc. that tickets to the Chicago stop of her upcoming book tour would start at just $45 - far less than she's charging fans in NY and other cities. She's not the person to galvanize the Democratic resistance to Trump as the party searches for younger leaders. "President Obama urged me to grit my teeth and lay off Bernie as much as I could", Clinton wrote, "I felt like I was in a straitjacket".

She had a hole-in-one Wednesday in the pro-am playing alongside Nancy Lopez, the only three-time victor in event history. After Chun's chip settled six feet from the hole, Lewis had two putts to win. "It was a great round today", Chun said.

She may have felt the straitjacket, but she was a awful candidate who should have been wearing handcuffs.

A report in The Hill from Jonathan Easley provides a few more insights into Hillary Clinton's complaints-and shows some Democrats annoyed that she won't just go away.

With Bernie's politics aside, his fellow Democrat Hillary Clinton remembered him in her latest book. "Her story of resilience, how to get back up after a loss and how we can all look ahead", her publishing company, Simon & Shuster says. But hindsight is 20/20 - which is, incidentally, the year the next presidential election will take place - and I would not cast my ballot for him again.

"I find this fairly remarkable, considering that Joe himself campaigned for me all over the midwest and talked plenty about the middle class".

We knew Majka was stronger than most of us in this kind of stage finish and his teammates did a great job in supporting him throughout.

Many inside the Democratic Party wish she followed McCain's advice but have accepted that she is charting her own course. She should have gone harder after Trump. "You can blame the data, blame the message, blame anything you want - but I was the candidate", she writes. Her conclusion: "I think it's partly because I'm a woman". Her column,"You Do Uterus", runs every Thursday.

Clinton also opens up about her personal life with lengthy passages dedicated to her daughter, her mother and, most notably, her husband.

Have Clinton and her team forgotten all the other, non-Bernie-related reasons Trump won?

"This man is President of the United States", Clinton wrote.
