At the time, the show was well received as it followed closely to the beloved novel. Fast forward twenty-seven years and Pennywise returns in live action form, this time on the silver screen.

As fantastic as the kids are, the film hinged on whether or not Bill Skarsgard's Pennywise could live up to Tim Curry's iconic performance - and boy did he ever. This then creates a bond and dialogue between the children that all feels authentic and realistic to this time period, and is often times really amusing as well. He's absolutely terrifying. For the slight drool when Pennywise talks, to his ghoulish squeals of laughter, this Pennywise will scare another generation of kids who watch this movie when they aren't supposed to. So much of the horror genre have their primary focus on their villain or monster like Jason Voorhees or Freddy Krueger.

The tale begins in earnest in October 1988, months after Georgie's disappearance, with big brother Bill (Jaeden Lieberher) holding out hope Georgie is alive somewhere. Although incredibly creepy, Pennywise manages to bond with the boy, Georgie Denbrough (Jackson Robert Scott) - before biting his arm off and pulling him into the sewer.

They'll also have to steer clear of the homicidal clown as they pursue a high score. Previously, Tim Curry assumed the role in 1990's iconic television mini-series.

"Pennywise was this looming force they knew was coming but hadn't seen yet", Skarsgard said. Skarsgard was a ideal pick for the gig.

The report comes to us from /Film, who says producers Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg have already gotten to work on a sequel. The only difference is that this group's "Boo Radley" is a supernatural clown made of pure nightmare fuel. "I've seen it, it's fabulous".

Pennywise, Bill Skarsgard did a great job in the movie. "So that ultimately when we do hopefully get to tell the second part of the story, it'll be present day". Their excellent character development begins nearly immediately.

Direction by Andres Muschietti is very impressive. You'll squirm in your seats a fair amount. It is not about a clown that preys on children. "It's a movie that deals with friendship and the power of confronting darkness together", the director explained. "IT", in fact, is also loaded with unexpected humor, which takes the edge off the otherwise terrifying narrative.
