Raiders beat Chiefs on final play

Posted October 23, 2017

Long before going in the direction of the sure-handed Crabtree for the victor and the leaping 6-foot-5 tight end to set it up, Carr and offensive coordinator Todd Downing made a concerted effort to get Cooper involved early, going at the two-time Pro Bowler on Oakland's first offensive play of the game - albeit a pick up of just 12 yards. Later in the quarter Carr and Cooper connected on a 45-yard score, making Cooper the first Raiders receiver with two TD catches in the first quarter since Mervyn Fernandez in 1989.

The Raiders on Thursday night offered their own trip aboard Space Mountain, the final few twists and turns altogether wacky.

Several NFL players then took to Twitter.

Trump Launches 'Stand for the National Anthem' Petition
Until people like Trump, who refused to condemn racists, white supremacists and KKK, begin a dialogue, protests will continue. Stand for the National Anthem .

"If there's one thing about Crab, it doesn't matter what happens throughout the rest of the game, he always shows up", Carr said.

Wins have been so hard to come by for the Oakland Raiders that it took three tries at the final play for them finally to pull this one out and possibly save their season. Running back Marshawn Lynch was on the sideline when all of this occurred, and he sprinted onto the field to push Peters away from the clutter.

Even when they played balls correctly and took smart calculated risks and were in ideal position, the Raiders did things like safety Keith McGill II letting an interception bounce off his hands and into those of Albert Wilson for a 63-yard touchdown.

In Security Exchange Commission filings , the Dearborn, Michigan-based automaker said the recall is expected to cost $267 million. Ford said on Wednesday it would recall about 1.3 million vehicles in North America to add a water shield to side door latches .

Luckily for Lynch, that ill-advised move didn't ultimately lead to a Raiders loss. Lynch congratulated his teammates in the locker room after the game but didn't speak to reporters.

In accordance with league rules, 10 seconds were run off the clock after the overturned ruling. Carr hadn't registered a 300-yard passing game. Whether it was issues with drops or Oakland not getting him involved enough, the former University of Alabama receiver did not look like himself prior to last night's game. Washington did punch in a four-yard touchdown to put Oakland up 21-20, but that was a small positive in a day of disappointment for the Raiders' run game. No catch. Game overrrr... oh, come on. On the play from the 10, Carr threw an incomplete pass, but the Chiefs were called for holding, which gave the Raiders another crack at the end zone after the half-the-distance to the goal line penalty was enforced. He bombed two touchdowns passes of over 60 yards to Tyreek Hill and Albert Wilson, exposing David Amerson and Keith McGill. We were all tied up.

Coming into Thursday's game, only the 0-6 Browns were seeded lower than the Raiders in the AFC playoff race and Oakland had yet to win a divisional game in two previous chances. Long snapper Jon Condo hiked the ball to holder/punter Marquette King. Game over... for real this time.
