Jodie Whittaker's Doctor Who costume unveiled

The BBC posted our first look at Jodie Whittaker's costume for her - and womankind's - inaugural Doctor Who voyage.

All of this is mostly lost on me, a dude who's never seen a single episode of Doctor Who, but as a big Attack The Block fan I'm excited to see Whittaker taking on such an iconic role.

Whittaker will make her first appearance on the Christmas special of DOCTOR WHO on BBC One.

Supreme Court sides with Apple in $120M patent battle against Samsung
The decision followed the Trump administration's advice not to proceed with the case, although the Supreme Court is independent. Samsung had paid for damages to Apple for infringing on two patents: the slide-to-unlock gesture and quick links patent.

In the image, Whittaker is wearing teal cropped culottes with mustard yellow suspenders and a navy sweater with a rainbow stripe. Whittaker also dons some distinctive earrings at the top and bottom of her left ear.

However, many fans on social media derisively compared the costume to the outfit worn a fictional character outside of the "Doctor Who" universe: Mork from Ork, played by Robin Williams on the classic sitcom "Mork and Mindy". "I wonder what it say about her personality?" She has a long jacket (hello, David Tennant); high-waisted trousers (very Patrick Troughten); suspenders (mighty Matt Smith); and a set of stripes across her shirt that could be a subtle tribute to Tom Baker's iconic long scarf.

But does the Thirteenth Doctor's outfit hold any clues about the future of her tenure?

On Friday, investigators removed scattered alcohol bottles around the porch as evidence. Thrasher also banned alcohol at all student organization events during the suspension.

The internet was stunned when Jodie Whitaker was announced as the new face of Doctor Who in July, and speculation about the show only increased when the new TARDIS team was disclosed a short while ago.

Curiously, some Twitter commenters even went as far as complaining about Whittaker's lack of tie, somehow forgetting that many Doctors, like Eccleston's Ninth, Davison's Fifth and Capaldi's Twelfth, didn't wear one.

"I want to tell the fans not to be scared by my gender. It means remembering everyone I used to be, while stepping forward to embrace everything the Doctor stands for: hope".
