Shaking felt from DC to NYC from 5.1 quake in Delaware

An quake shook the region late Thursday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

Thursday's quake was originally reported as having a magnitude of 5.1 and then 4.4.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was approximately six miles east-northeast of Dover and hit at 4:47 p.m with a depth of about five miles.

Widespread shaking was felt across much of South Jersey about 4:50 p.m. Thursday, after an quake was reported in Delaware.

The USGS reports the temblor's effects were felt in several states, as far west as West Virginia and as far north as Pennsylvania and CT.
