LG Launches the LG V30+ with Full View OLED Display

The phone, going on sale exclusively on Amazon from December 18, comes with offers on pre-booking as well. Featuring an OLED FullVision display, the device packs in a Cine Video mode for producing movie-quality videos.

LG V30+ inherits most of the features from its predecessor; LG V30, and comes with some more advanced features. The display also supports HDR10 playback and Always-on Display feature. It also includes an internal storage of 128GB, which can be further expanded up to 2TB via microSD card.

LG had unveiled the V30 and V30+ at IFA 2017 in Berlin earlier this year. On the front, the LG V30+ sports a somewhat mundane 5-megapixel wide-angle (90-degree lens) camera for selfies and video calling.

Packing a 6-inch QHD+ (1440×2880 pixels) FullVision OLED display tagged with a pixel density of 638ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 5, the device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, clocking 2.45GHz and 1.9GHz, paired with 4GB of RAM speed. The body is IP68 certified for dust and water resistance. It has secondary 13MP Wide Angle ( with F1.9 aperture and 120 degree of field of view) camera. The camera also has a manual mode with access to settings such as white balance, shutter speed, aperture and ISO.

Google to Pull YouTube from Amazon Echo Show, Fire TV
FireTV is now sans YouTube, and while Chromecast can view Amazon Prime , it's not as easy to access as other channels. On Tuesday, Google said it would cut off Amazon's Fire TV streaming devices from YouTube , starting on January 1.

The phone runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat with LG UX 6.0+ on top. The handset offers a 3,300mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. Apart from most leading Wi-Fi bands, the phone also supports Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and connects to a computer using USB Type-C cord. The company is also offering a one-time screen replacement for 6 months and a free wireless charger for first 2000 customers. The phone is an upgraded variant of the much acclaimed V30 model and will be available at a price of Rs 44,990.
