A female singer has accused a former campaign manager for President Donald Trump of repeatedly slapping her behind during a party at Washington's Trump International Hotel in November, according to U.S. website Politico.

Joy Villa told Politico the incident happened during an invite-only gathering at Trump International Hotel in Washington, DC.

A singer named Joy Villa has accused President Trump's former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, of slapping her butt at a party without her consent.

The former campaign manager-who still remains in contact with the President and recently attended a political strategy meeting at the White House-was previously charged with simple battery after conservative journalist Michelle Fields accused him of grabbing her following a news conference in March 2016.

No injuries have been reported and an LFB spokesperson also said she did not believe any animals were involved, according to the BBC .

Joy Villa - who wore a "Make America Great Again" dress to the Grammy Awards previous year - claims Corey Lewandowski smacked her "really hard" on the rear as the pair posed for a photo at an invite-only party, according to a report.

It was there that the pair took a photo together and Lewandowski slapped her on the butt.

"It was completely demeaning and shocking", she told Politico.

Villa said she initially hesitated to come forward about the incident because she feared "that Corey could badmouth me", but ultimately chose to speak out after seeing numerous stories about sexual harassment in the media, politics, and other fields.

While Lewandowski was sacked by the Trump campaign well over a year ago, his name has recently been floated for a staff position in the West Wing, as other presidential aides are planning their exits. The charges were eventually dropped by prosecutors. "I can report you on sexual harassment".

According to Politico, Villa claims was circulating at the party when a friend brought her over to introduce her to Lewandowski.

Villa also tweeted a picture of the two posing "seconds before he slapped my ass" along with a link of the Politico article.
