Pakistan praises Turkey's effort on Jammu Kashmir

An Indian official says Pakistan started firing artillery and small arms Sunday onto Indian positions, while a Pakistani official says Indian forces started the violence by firing onto the Pakistani side. The Vice-Chief of the Army Staff Lieutenant-General Sarath Chandra said that the Army would continue to give a befitting reply.

Minister of State for Home Affairs Hansraj Ahir also condemned Sunday's ceasefire violation in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri and Poonch districts, saying that it shall "cost Pakistan dearly". At least 14 people including eight civilians and six security personnel had been killed in Pakistan firing in the Jammu region between January 18 and 22.

He said in another ceasefire violation in Bandi Chacian Sector one Army Jawan namely Sepoy Kishore Kumar and two civilians including a minor namely Yaseen Arif and a girl namely Gulnaz Akhter sustained injuries.

The army retaliated strongly and effectively and heavy damage has been inflicted on the Pakistani Army posts. Also, the reports are coming that after 2014, last month was the highest in ceasefire violation by Pakistan.
