Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma keeps key portfolios, gives Home to brother

On Sunday evening, NPP leader Conrad Sangma met Meghalaya governor Ganga Prasad and staked claim to form the government with the support of 34 MLAs, above the half way mark in the 60-member legislative assembly.

The oath-taking ceremony is likely to take place on Tuesday morning. "We are facilitating the regional parties in Meghalaya to unite and form a government in the state to keep the Congress at bay", said Sarma, who has been camping in the state since Saturday.
