Posted May 14, 2018

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR released on April 26th has, in only 18 days, broken all superhero records and become the movie not to miss this year. Infinity War has officially crossed the $500 million mark at the domestic box office.

Sans no competition from another tentpole, Avengers: Infinity War has topped the box office for three consecutive weekends, a veritable eternity in summer, when Hollywood tentpoles generally open one on top of another.

To the end of Wednesday, "Infinity War" had a global gross of $1.251 billion. Yesterday, Deadpool 2 posted a hilarious "spoiler warning" that was done in the same fashion as the one the Russo Brothers had posted regarding Infinity War. The film has already earned over Rs 200 crore in India itself and is expected to earn 41. billion across the world.

He is not the only one who didn't understand the movie, there are lot of newcomers who voice out the same issue about Marvel Cinematic Universe's movies. The lesser-known thriller BREAKING IN did surprisingly well with close to $15 million. Meanwhile, Gabrielle Union's "Breaking In" launched in third with US$16.5 million in 2,537 locations.

Additionally, Breaking In opened in five global markets this weekend with an estimated $1 million, including a fifth place finish in the United Kingdom with an estimated $609k.

Rounding out the top five this weekend are Lionsgate and MGM's rom-com remake Overboard, with about $10.1 million, and Paramount's silently spooky horror hit A Quiet Place, with about $6.4 million. The result follows Marvel Studios' recent phenomenon Black Panther which has made over £50M in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The follow-up, Deadpool 2, is due to be released in the United Kingdom on 16 May. There is no word on whether it will also release in China after a minor delay or not. And so, right now, we have not edited that movie at all.
