My career, I've had so many wins, I've had so many poles but everyone talks about the (Indy) 500. And if I win, people will remember that.
Power and his family - his wife, most notably - were incredibly emotional after the race. She left the 500-mile race bit shy of 200 miles. "I can't describe it", Power said.

The race capped her "Danica Double", which began at the Daytona 500, where she also crashed out well short of the finish. It was a good moment.
Among other drivers who exited due to mishaps were three-time victor Helio Castroneves (lap 147) and 2013 victor Tony Kanaan (188). Kanaan's crash with 12 laps remaining set up a final restart with Oriol Servia out front.
